How to join the DKG

What is the DKG?

The DKG is an association of nearly 1000 members all over the world, founded in 1969. The aims of the DKG are to provide information about killifish (housing, feeding, breeding, ...), to maintain, conserve and distribute killifish among the aquarists of the DKG and other interested killie keepers.

"DKG aktuell" and the DKG-Journal

The DKG publishes two bimonthly periodicals. "DKG aktuell" or the so called "Yellow Pages" deals with information about the organization and includes information from the Board of Directors, a fish and egg listing for purchase and exchanging, announcements and other internal news which might be of interest to members.

The DKG-Journal is a valuable source of articles about all genera of killifish. It contains high quality coloured photographs of killifish, contributions to the "Encyklopedia of Killifsh" (four page data sheets with detailed description of and information about the origin, the maintenance and breeding of a particular killifish), original articles about killifish sometimes with a scientific slant, descriptions of new species, as well as articles about other topics concerning killi-keeping.

Both publications are printed in German only!
